ভারতের অবনতি ও অর্থ, মান, যশ – সত্যানুসরণ

সত্যানুসরণের শুরুতে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের প্রধান দুটি বাণী দেয়া আছে।

প্রথমটি হলো ভারতের অবনতির কারণ ও উন্নতির উপায় বিষয়ে। শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর বলেছেন….

ভারতের অবনতি (degeneration) তখন- থেকেই আরম্ভ হয়েছে, যখন-থেকে ভারতবাসীর কাছে অমূর্ত্ত ভগবান্‌ অসীম হ’য়ে উঠেছে—ঋষি বাদ দিয়ে ঋষিবাদের উপাসনা আরম্ভ হয়েছে।

ভারত! যদি ভবিষ্যৎ-কল্যাণকে আবাহন ক’রতে চাও, তবে সম্প্রদায়গত বিরোধ ভুলে জগতের পূর্ব্ব-পূর্ব্ব গুরুদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাসম্পন্ন হও—আর তোমার মূর্ত্ত ও জীবন্ত গুরু বা ভগবানে আসক্ত (attached) হও,—আর তাদেরই স্বীকার কর— যারা তাঁকে ভালবাসে। কারণ, পূর্ব্ববর্ত্তীকে অধিকার করিয়াই পরবর্ত্তীর আবির্ভাব।

দ্বিতীয়টি হলো ঠাকুরত্ব নিয়ে। শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুর বলেছেন……

অর্থ, মান, যশ ইত্যাদি পাওয়ার আশায় আমাকে ঠাকুর সাজিয়ে ভক্ত হ’য়ো না, সাবধান হও—ঠকবে; তোমার ঠাকুরত্ব না জাগলে কেহ তোমার কেন্দ্রও নয়, ঠাকুরও নয়—ফাঁকি দিলেই পেতে হবে তা’।

English Version

The degeneration of humanity began at that moment when the unseen God
was made infinite and, ignoring the Seers, the worship of Their Sayings
began.

Oh Mankind! if you desire to invoke your good, forget sectarian conflict.
Be regardful to all the past Prophets. Be attached to your living Master or
God and take only those who love Him as your own. Because all the past
Prophets are consummated in the divine Man of the present.

Oh, you who would devotees be
With hope for name and riches,
Don’t make me your Lord and Master.
Beware! If mastery within
awakens not,—
Master, Centre— none you have,
and deceiving, you shall be deceived.
